Summary:

Dr. Buffington, Superintendent, will present the NIESC (Northern Indiana Educational Services Center) dairy and milk, GPO-grocery, and produce bids for Board approval, as required by the State Board of Accounts auditors. Nancy Smith, Food Service Director, recommendations are as follows:
To accept the Milk and Dairy bid submitted by Pleasant View Dairy for the 2021-2022 school year. They provided a firm price and the lowest price for chocolate milk. They provide excellent customer service and quality products.
To accept the renewal of the GPO-Grocery bid submitted by HPS (GPO) and Gordon Food Service as the GPO distributor for the 2021-2022 school year. HPS-Gordon Food Service provides excellent customer service and quality products.
To accept the produce bid of Creation Gardens for the 2021-2022 school year.
Produce bids are new this year and will allow us to get the best pricing on the widest variety of produce for our students.
The bids were requested by the Northwest Indiana Educational Services Center (NIESC), which included members of the Northwest Indiana Educational Service Center (NWIESC) of which Hobart is a member. Copies of bid information for the each of the categories, as provided by NIESC, and Mrs. Smith's recommendations are attached for the Board's review.
Dr. Buffington will request Board action.
