1) Ten Hobart Chess Club members competed at the Scholastic Chess of Indiana Regional qualifier (3 high school; 6 middle school; and 1 elementary student). All 10 qualified for the State Finals taking place on January 29. (See attached email regarding the regional competition.)
2) Hobart High School Key Club helping the homeless. See attached Jerry Davich article in the Post-Tribune on January 12, 2022.
3) Teachers of Excellence - Valentine Torres, high school business teacher, was recognized by Attorney Kenneth Allen, in The Times on January 12, 2022.
4) Last week, Asia Donald reaches 1,000 career points in girls basketball! (See attachment)
5) Brickie Leaders from Joan Martin and Liberty Schools support the Hobart Humane Society with donations. (See attached news article.)
6) Esports recognition from the Manchester University Super Smash Brothers competition last fall. Hobart High School Senior Brent Nuzzo won the competition. (See attached news article.)
