Asia Donald - Franciscan Health-IBCA Player of Week.pdf
HHS Theatre Department Email re State Competition.pdf
Summary: *Asia Donald was selected as the Franciscan Health/Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Player of the Week for November 15-20,2021. (See the attached information.)

*Senior Ethan Ferba made history on November 30th as he lit up the diving scoreboard, putting together a masterful diving list against Kankakee Valley and Lowell for A NEW SCHOOL RECORD! Not only did Ferba’s 6-dive list include some of the most difficult dives out there, but he was able to execute them with near perfection! Ethan threw one of the most difficult dives, a 405c, inward 2.5 and it paid off big time scoring over 70 points! Ethan’s mental game is top of the line, and amazingly he was able to stay calm and confident throughout the meet as he inched closer to the record. Ethan has secured his place in School City of Hobart athletics history! It is with great pride to announce Ethan Ferba as the GREATEST OF ALL TIME in diving (6 dives) for Hobart High School.

*HHS Theatre advances to state competition in January at Marion High School in Marion, Indiana. (See attached.)

*HHS Business Professionals of America participated in the Regional Leadership Conference last week. Miranda Palka and Louis Gallegos competed in Marketing and placed Third with their Global Marketing Plan. In addition, Mia Perez, Miranda Palka, and Sabrina Gonzalez competed in the Interview process, where they submitted a resume and a cover letter while participating in a mock job interview. Sabrina came in First, and Miranda placed Third. Both Sabrina and Miranda have qualified to compete at the State Leadership Conference next March.

*Sophomore Luke Granzow was recognized as part of the Patrick Mannelly 65 awards ceremony on December 11, 2021. Luke was a long snapper for the Hobart Brickies and has a GPA over 4.00. His coach nominated him. Luke had the opportunity to meet Lance Briggs, Frank Thomas, Dave Kaplan, and Patrick Mannelly. Patrick Mannelly was a long snapper for the Chicago Bears.

*Gabriel Massula, a sixth grader at Hobart Middle School, has once again delivered bags full of gifts for people she has never met. For the second year, she donated gifts at St Jude in Crown Point and will be stopping by Bother's Keeper in Gary and Ronald McDonald House in Chicago next week. Her gifts included dolls, backpacks, toys, slippers, small appliances, clothing, and gift cards (for adults). In addition, other donations Gabriela and her family made earlier this year included backpack for the School City of Hobart, blankets to the Hobart and Crown Point Fire Departments, and dog toys to Lakeshore PAWS.
